This series is so incredibly good! Love the characterization of everyone!! Also love all of the OCs the author created to support the main cast.
It's a whole new take on atla after the war, with its own expanded lore and world building. The author doesn't shy from heavier topics, but also focuses on the recovery and healing of it.
All in all, a really fucking good fic. Delicious.

Desmond the Bird (The Fic™️)
This is hands down, one of the most well-written fics I've ever read. The author's way with words has me crying, awed, inspired. Reading their writing feels like a cup of hot chocolate after a long cold day. It's soft, quiet without being silent and says enough without having to scream it. And the author is so kind to the characters (not that they haven't put them through some torture and such), but in the way they let the characters be themselves in realism, in grief and in love.
Truly a story about grief and healing and identity, learning to trust others and also yourself.
I just love this fic very much. ❤️

Aliena and Tom keep dancing around each other, some steps forward and some steps back, even though they're dancing to two completely different songs.
