“Still the same [[dazzling new brands]] you used to smoke [[way back when]]?” Spamton gently interrupted, breaking his spiral.
A beat passed before Tenna sighed and resettled again, a tenseness in his shoulders now that made Spamton purse lips he didn’t have.

Everyone gets bored, and everyone likes to let off steam when they’re being plagued by meaningless guilt over supposed failures done against young deer women. Queen is no exception.
Unfortunately, Castle Town is not actually as expansive and fun as the itty-bitty prince claims it is. As it is, she only has three consistent activities —
1. Drink for hours, drink drink, drink. Drink so much battery acid. And battery wine. But mostly battery acid.
2. Bother the other people in town (gets old fast).
3. Sit upright, contemplate her faults and also everyone else’s faults but mostly hers.That is until a few days ago, when the Lighteners brought someone new in. A real tall glass of However that phrase ends.

Oh no! Spamton caught a little virus and is feeling a bit sick! Tenna takes advantage of no longer being tiny to prepare a nice soup to help him get better… and to make sure he actually takes his medicine, Tenna promises him a reward (…even though he has absolutely no idea what to offer). Luckily, Spamton,being the genius he is,already has a pretty good idea of what he wants, and fully takes advantage of it.

The words felt punched out of Khaslana’s chest. He felt like he was betraying Mydei by confessing.
“No,” Khaslana back-tracked with a tired shake of his head. “I am… no longer Phainon.”
“...You never change in my eyes.”
A finger curled under Khaslana’s chin, preventing him from attempting to shy away from Mydei’s intense, yet adoring gaze. A rare smile lifted the corners of Mydei’s lips as he stared into Khaslana’s undeniably golden eyes, as opposed to the usual ocean blues Phainon had.
“You’re still my Phainon. My queen. My loving wife. Nothing changes that.”
Even in Phainon's new, human life, he still bears the world's burdens. Unlike in the past thirty-three million cycles, Mydei fulfills a promise that was said a million times before. In Castrum Kremnos' library, Mydei grounds Phainon back into reality.
