Summary
Eyes darting around each ‘face’ in the parking lot, sweat suddenly sticking uncomfortably to his body, breath quickening, legs speeding up, even though his knee is aching from the sudden random strain, even if it’s begging him to slow down. He doesn’t know what’s going on but he’d rather not stick around and find out. Everything in Buck is telling him to run. Run fast and far and don’t look back.
Once Buck reaches his jeep, he immediately gets inside and locks all his doors as if speedrunning a Guinness World Record. Then, he finally takes a deep breath, the eyes are out there, but they can’t reach him from inside. He can finally take a deep, very oxygenated breath—just to have his breath stuck in his throat again. No. Who is that? What is that?
Looking back at him in the vanity mirror, staring into him, mocking him…was him, but it wasn’t. Everything was wrong. Buck couldn’t recognize the face in front of him just knows that it’s copying his movements, even the timing in his blinks, trying to be him, but not quite getting it right.
OR: During the grocery store fight Buck develops prosopagnosia (face blindness). How will he survive not recognizing anyone and with his family hating him?

Summary
“Finally, we’ve got a special guest joining us for the next six weeks. As you should all be aware, Chimney recently signed up for the LAFD/LFB exchange programme. He will be spending the next six weeks in England seeing how they do things over there, meanwhile, we have one of London Fire Brigade’s finest joining us. I'm sure he’ll have lots of questions so please help him out. I expect you all to make him feel welcome."
“Uh Cap?” Hen’s the one to ask which is great because Eddie’s coffee hasn’t kicked in yet, “Does this Brit have a name?”
Bobby frowns and retrieves his clipboard to peer at the name he has scrawled at the bottom of the sheet. “Evan Buckley. Send him my way if you see him, won’t you?”
--- Or Buck is British, and Eddie has a big fat crush on him even though he knows he's only around for six weeks. ---

Summary
“And it always—I always get all red and stupid when he smiles that way—”
“I'm aware,” Hen cuts in.
“And I just had all these feelings. I had to tell someone, and I can't tell Buck or Chris, and I want you to actually stay my friend, so.”
“So you told the biggest newspaper in the country.”
Eddie sighs. “Second biggest,” he says, one of the many things Buck has taught him over the years. “But that's—yeah. That's definitely a thing I did.”
in which eddie accidentally waxes poetic about buck to the new york times.
