Izuku lingers on the sentence cementing the death of his favorite character. He knows there are still a few more chapters left in the novel but
what’s the point now?“If I had been there,” he mumbles, “I wouldn’t let it happen.”
Of course, thinking this is useless, and somehow that makes him even more upset.
Izuku frowns and rolls over, hugging a pillow to his chest. He has an early shift in the morning, so he should sleep, no matter how much he’d rather ask the author of the novel why the fuck they had to write such an emotionally devastating story for the villain.
So he closes his eyes and does his best to put it all aside.
(This wouldn’t be much of a story if that's where it ended, though)

Oh, and how could I forget "adorable, but could probably crush our baby brother's head with his thighs"?'
