Sonic Movie 3 Spoilers!
Sonic is struck with grief in the wake of Shadow's sacrifice. Shadow, in his truest form—his pain, his honor, the good in his heart—is Sonic's little secret. The world isn't ready. Nobody would understand, not even his own family. Sonic is more than ready to shoulder the burden.
But Shadow's not dead.
It doesn't take long for he and Sonic to fall into their awkward little tango. Midnights spent sneaking into the Wachowski household lends well to forming a strong, indestructible bond, and it's only natural that, over the course of it all, two hedgehogs fall in love.
Title comes from the song Hunter by Paris Paloma, which played at the theater before my second viewing of Sonic 3, and now is a song I associate wholly with sonadow. Haha, whoops!

Kaito knew his bro as well as he knew himself. Which is to say, not all that well. Still, Shuichi was Kaito’s best friend, and he trusted that he’d be able to tell if something was up with him. They did hang out almost every day, after all.

Summary
In light of the #StopAsianHate movement, this story came to life. A telling of the hurtful happenings and moments so easily brushed over, building inside until they are one day no longer able to be contained. An off-hand comment, a direct attack, even a well-intended remark born out of ignorance. As told through Langa's perspective, I hope some comfort can be found within the story's content.

Reki was slouched over, his hands shoved into the pockets of his hoodie. His shoulders were shaking, and he was completely drenched.
“You’re soaked to the bone,” Cherry murmured as he moved the umbrella away from Joe and over to shield the shivering boy from the harsh weather. Joe huffed a bit but couldn’t really be bothered about getting wet- not when Reki was so visibly uncomfortable.
Cherry reached out a delicate hand as if to brush Reki’s bangs aside, but at the man’s motion, Reki’s entire body lurched in a violent flinch.
Something cold rose up in Joe’s chest, his stomach growing uneasy.
