Summary
Vale was once a studious disciple of the Saint of Winter Frost, concerned only with her bladework and the refining of her spiritual core. But an attack on her and her Master's home ends with her frozen in stasis for hundreds of years, only awakening when a wandering entity unravels the enchantment out of simple curiosity.
She discovers shortly that the strange woman is the Goddess of Lust, who, only moments later, rashly chooses Vale as her next succubus. With the goddess's blessing comes a 'sword' of the sort Vale is definitely not used to wielding.
Just like that, she's thrown into a old-yet-new world she barely recognizes, exploring, growing in power, and completing her Patron's ever-lewder Quests.

Summary
Ozai is a careless leader. She learns this early on, wary of his scathing tongue and biting words, yet intrigued by how he doesn't hold back, even for the sake of diplomacy. This is not how you rule a country. This is how you start a civil war and lose all your allies.
Azula is careful, she picks and chooses and strikes when the time is right, not before and not after. She realizes that her father is a careless leader, and that, if left to him, the entire Fire Nation will be burnt to the ground. This will not do, Azula will be Fire Lord soon, and a ruler needs her subjects. Logically, the only thing to do in this case is seek the help of her dead brother, traitor uncle, and their miscreant group of friends that they seem to have acquired, including the avatar he was sent to kill.

When Azula is nine, she becomes an only child. She hears the Fire Lord call for Zuko's life, and in the morning, her mother and brother are gone. Azula may be young, but she isn't naive. She knows what happened to them.
Which makes it all the more surprising when Azula tracks the Avatar down and fights his group of peasant friends, only to find herself staring into an eerily familiar face.

Summary
Whatever it is, it lands on the outskirts of Caldera, on the other side of the almost-wall that is the volcano’s edge. No one saw where it landed, or even in general. No one even knows that it was more of a crash than an actual landing.
No one except Azula, anyway.
___In which Azula laments her lack of a goldfish, runs away, learns some practical skills, disappoints her father, finds the Avatar, narrowly misses becoming the first Fire Nation citizen to infiltrate Ba Sing Se, and tames a dragon- though not necessarily in that order.
