Summary
The members of Class VII have fled from Thors, the place where they’ve made invaluable memories and bonds that would last beyond a lifetime. As the Civil War kicks into high gear after its abrupt beginning, they all ponder the path they wish to take. Jusis, especially, is in a unique position given the many hats he’s worn throughout his life. All that’s left is to choose which ones to hold onto as the fires of war burn and which ones to leave behind in the ashes. In the end, the trails that Class VII blaze will leave a lasting impact on not just the Empire, but Zemuria as well, as they push forward, relentlessly.

Ohhhh interesting! While I like the current Limbus Company story, I think this fic does a really good job reimagining and also adding details that make sense with canon (Yoooooo the Smoke War and Old L-Corp, I’m so excited!) You also don’t need to have played Lobotomy or Library to understand what’s happening here.
Have a read through! You won’t be disappointed. :)
P.S: The egotism concept actually makes a lot of sense haha. LCB will have their fair share of development to get theirs (most) it seems. ;)

Summary
There once was a young woman who wielded power that was coveted by those who wished to use it to conceive a divine scheme. She spent her life running aimlessly until one day, enough was enough. She decided to stand firm and blaze her own trail, influencing many who had the privilege of crossing her path. Then she died and left a legacy behind for her son who almost collapsed underneath its weight when her past finally caught up. Now he’s left to discover a way to shoulder the burden he’d inherited and leave behind his own trails on the shores of fate and destiny.
AKA an AU where Jusis is a former enforcer and bracer who’s more involved in the grand scheme of things then he would like to be (isn’t Rean supposed to be the universe’s punching bag?)

I still have to catch up on the previous works in the series, but I give a strong recommendation of "YES READ THIS SERIES YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!" (you know I'm serious with multiple exclamation marks) if you wanted more of a group dynamic focus in Trails of Coldsteel. There is more development with the Original Class VII so far and side characters. Events are expanded and there are AU-original changes that makes so much sense (Elise and Alfin I'm looking at you two) to really add more depth. And without Rean being present all the time. I love you Rean, but I really do wish we could see more moments and development without you being there in the games.
The ships are also a plus for me and you have no idea how much I can gush and go on about it. TLDR: READ ALL THE FICS IN THE SERIES. You won't regret it I promise!

Summary
With Duke Cayenne's very kind threat filled invitation, Crow reluctantly boards the Pantagruel and leaves Class VII behind to listen to their thinly veiled threats of 'work with us or lose (your life) with the rest of them'. By the next day's afternoon, Crow is all but ready to bust himself out of the fancy shmancy airship as big as the noble's ego.
Until Rean, or the Imperial Liberation Front's leader 'R', waits for him with a nicely packed lunch and a conversation he's not ready for.
