The woman—Maz, was it?—smiled softly in a way that didn’t reach her too-big eyes.
“Then I don’t *imagine* you’ll be meeting with him today. He’s due to leave momentarily.”
“Oh, it won’t take long, I can assure you—”
“You ‘eard her, girl,” The redhead grumbled, “Ben’s busy. Now piss off—”
“Armie,” Maz snapped, her eyes never leaving Rey. The gaze was cool, polite but distant. “We will tell him that you stopped by, Rey…”
“Kenobi. My name is Rey Kenobi.”
The redhead was already pushing the door closed, but he stopped when Maz’s hand came down on his forearm. Her eyes were no longer distant. They were, however, far colder, and flashed with something sharp.
“Please,” She said, the smile returning, “Come inside.”
