Summary
The Baudelaires are safe with Dr. Montgomery after he thwarts Count Olaf's venomous plot with the help of his assistant Gustav. Now, VFD must rescue the Quagmires before Count Olaf can get his hands on them, and finally begin to rebuild something from the ashes of their former homes. Gustav didn't think he wanted kids, but he volunteered! Updates whenever my partner is out of town because I get a bit sad when I'm left alone. You can still comment to rush me, its just unlikely to work. Leave your suggestions, though! I think I'm doing Jacques, Kit, and Olivia rescue the Quagmires, then taking a continuity break to visit Lemony, Bertrand and Beatrice in the past, and then back to the kids for a while, and then Kit and Dewey's wedding (masquerade theme?) where Monty and Gustav will get some kind of featured adventure as well. Not that I'll ever get around to all that.

Summary
After their parents perish in a terrible fire (which means were killed), the Quagmire triplets are sent to live with the deplorable Count Olaf, who will stop at nothing to make their lives a misery and steal their sapphire fortune. Meanwhile, Klaus Baudelaire struggles to accept the death of his parents and older sister, while also having to raise his infant sister Sunny and deal with living in a miserable school.
It will be the start of a very long, very depressing and very difficult journey for these young children, and I suggest you look away. I wish I could.

For enrichment of the author purposes, this doesn't directly follow either book or tv canon, but some Frankenstein of the two. A lot (not all) of the major plot points and characters will be from the tv show, but a lot of setting and timeline details will be from the books. Basically I just picked and chose my favourites from each. To my knowledge, though, everything makes sense. Feel free to ask if it doesn't, though !!Series

Summary
Really, the conflict starts when Julian gets back from his second involuntary trip to the mirror universe. It was a perfectly reasonable decision to help that universe’s Garak gain political asylum in Julian’s universe. He’d helped him escape… broadly. Well, it was more self-interest than altruism, but everyone deserved a chance to better themselves and staying in his own universe would likely have gotten him killed. Definitely Julian’s being objective and his intimate relationship with his universe’s Garak isn’t influencing his decisions at all.
The only thing that stops the two Garaks from killing one another when they first meet is the fact that Julian is literally standing between them and refuses to back down. The Garaks share three things: mutual distrust, the same taste in stubborn and hopelessly optimistic doctors, and an unshakeable conviction that they are in fact the same person.
