Summary
14-year-old Harry has known nothing but starvation and the stiff mattress he laid on every night in his little orphanage, yet he stays optimistic and kind, often helping with chores and comforting the younger children when they have nightmares. When a perilous disease spreads through the wizarding world like wildfire, Harry decides to flee when the disease starts spreading through his orphanage. Homeless and cold, he stumbled into a deep cave, where he found a glowing orb sending him a vision of a sickly young boy when he touched his hands to its warm exterior.
50 years later, Tom Riddle, now Lord Slytherin and unofficial-official ruler of the wizarding world, sat at his desk in the ministry of magic, once again watching the glittering magic dance about in the glowing orb he kept in his office. Tom vowed to find the owner of the magic and most importantly, the one who sacrificed said magic to save his life all those years ago.
