Alastor watched his expression shift, what began as tentative trust soon morphed into worry. A deep seated fear as he gazed at Alastor. He let out a weak laugh. Then it built, the static in his ears only growing more insistent.
Alastor's hand twitched, eyes drawing to Vox's hand. The warm static, a frequency Alastor had come to know better than he'd liked. The humming that'd raise in tempo whenever something upset his silly picture box too much. Alastor never enjoyed that static, the static. It showed weakness, and how could Vincent be his equal if he showed weakness?
