“Sometimes I feel like I’m thunder.” He repeated, as if that’s what Eddie missed.
“Why do you say that like it’s a bad thing?”
Richie looked back to Eddie.
“Thunders annoying,” He said bluntly, his voice quieting. Self deprecating. “It’s loud and obnoxious as hell, and everyone complains about it. And at its worst, people and pets are even scared of it.”
Eddie shakes his head. Richie was thunder, he agreed, but thunder was more than what Richie saw.
“Maybe you think that, but thunder has always been one of my favourite things.”

Summary
In an attempt to create the best possible timeline, Dr. Strange decides the X-Men need some... restructuring. Specifically, if Charles and Erik had been openly gay from the start, they could have saved hundreds of lives. So, naturally, he swaps out present-day Charles and Erik with their 1963 counterparts to lead the school and take up the mantel while their older selves get to retire in peace.
With a cup of repressed sexuality, a dash of truly terrible hair (Charles), and seasoning to taste with unlimited pining, surely nothing could go wrong.
Chaos ensues.
