"Wild?"
No answer. There wasn't the sudden, soft reply from Wild, who's voice never quite worked the same after the lick of bright and burning fire kissed his vocal chords.
"Wild?" He repeated, this time staring at the still form of their Champion. His untied, and perhaps tangled hair hung over his face as a thick curtain, blocking The Captain any means of stealing a glance at his expression, reading it.
The Champion's hands dug red crescents and pressing valleys from where he dug his fingers over his forearms. Arms haphazardly crushed and crossed over his middle, Wild stared low to his lap, to his trembling and shaking legs.
Warriors, gently placing down the hairbrush, instead moved to slowly approach Wild.
He sat on the edge of the bed, right where Wild hadn't seemed to move from since sitting on it. Warriors tried to not worry much over how little the soft, plush mattress seemed to dip from Wild's little weight.
"Champion? Wild? Link?" The third call of his given name was what beckoned the boy's attention.

The giant burned, along with the wooded patch behind them.
And then that distant look crossed over his face, his eyes seeing both nothing at all and too much.
Beau stepped forward, reached out to gently take his arm, prepared to guide him away.
Then Caleb started screaming.
“Caleb? Caleb!” Nott shouted, rushing forward, pulling at his coat. “Caleb snap out of it! Caleb!”
He didn’t even seem to notice, screaming and crying, face full of anguish as he wrapped his arms around himself, shaking violently.
“Caleb? Hey man, snap out of it!” Beau shouts, quickening her pace.
“What’s wrong with him?” Fjord shouted, also rushing over, but he was aways away; this wasn’t normal, not at all. He was screaming in agony.
The whole party was paying attention now, either rushing over, or watching, terrified.
But Caleb saw none of it; all he saw was the fire, the flames dancing in front of him, fore consuming all.
And he screamed.
“Caleb, please snap out of it.” Nott begged, tugging at his coat again, tears pricking her large eyes.
Then Caleb lunged forward - Towards the fire.

Wild wasn't used to so much company. He had a good group of friends and companions back home, and of course, the love of his life, Zelda. But he travelled alone for a reason, and now that he wasn't, he could feel some of his old bad habits coming back. It didn't help that he seemed to be so different from the rest of his new allies.
And he really misses Zelda.A Wild meets The Chain fic, exploring what happens when you take someone way out of their comfort zone. A slow moving story with plenty of trauma, a very confused Wild, and a healthy dose of headcanons.

Some nights, Sakura finds himself with a pen and paper, the pen hovering above a well made goodbye letter. Apologies and assurances littering every sentence like he doesn't want the reader to feel bad about his departure.
He reads it. Then rereads it, then again and again and again.
He throws it to a bin inside his closet, landing on a bed of discarded letters he's written in the past. He settles into his futon and awaits for the morning to come, for his friends to make this feelings disappear, for him to feel like himself again.
/or Sakura writes letters and Momijikawa is there with him.

They were heading down the Sahasra Slope when Wind caught sight of another one of those odd towers that seemed to dot this Hyrulian landscape. His curiosity got the better of him as he walked up to Wild, pointing toward the tower.
“Hey, Wild, what are those?” he asked, his head tilted as he looked up at the older Hero.
Wild looked to where Wind was pointing, a mischievous smile appearing on his lips. “Would you like a demonstration?” he asked, grinning over at Wind.
