Summary
Gordon considered himself a calm man.
He was on board when a man dressed up as a bat started showing up on his crime-ridden streets.
He kept an open mind when the same man began dressing up little kids like birds and throwing them at psychotic maniacs.
He kept his cool when Batman asked to pardon the murderous, red-helmeted ‘vigilante’ who blew up countless warehouses and served as judge, jury, and executioner.
He even managed to keep a straight face when that same criminal showed up at the Batsignal; he still pulled a gun on him, of course, but he held his fire, for now.
“Red Hood,” He greeted with a sour frown.
The helmeted figure turned to face him, waving as he did so. “Hey there, Commish.”
OR
Red Hood is the only bat left in town to take on Gordon's missions. Gordon is, unsurprisingly, not happy. However, Jim is forced to push his feelings aside so he can get shit done. Maybe after a while, they'll learn to do more than just deal with one another, especially when Gordon learns that the gun-wielding murderer he sees now used to be a joking fifteen-year-old Gordon enjoyed the company of. That was... Until the second Robin died.

He thinks he could guzzle gallons of refrigerated, artificially-anticoagulated blood and his stomach would still feel hollow. What he really wants is warm, and living, and real, and—and he shudders with revulsion, biting the inside of his cheek.
“It’s not enough,” Dick insists. “Your eyes are still red.”
“Yeah, well,” Jason spits, “whose fault is that?”
Jason copes with the indignities of being a fledgling vampire.

A monster lives in Jason’s basement. No one asked him if it should be allowed there—Bruce just disappeared for two weeks and then brought it home with him. Now there’s a creepy, golden-eyed undead assassin that exists in the corner of the Cave.
Bruce says this thing needs ‘healing’ and ‘deprogramming’, whatever that junk means. Jason thinks it needs to hit the road, and if the Talon acting like a real boy is what makes that happen, Jason’s willing to put the work in. It’s too bad Jason didn’t take his own big, stupid heart into account.

Dragon-prowed vessels lay pulled up on the strand, their keels resting on the smooth stones, oars stacked neatly beside them. Merchants, raiders, and freemen moved between the ships and makeshift stalls, haggling over goods freshly brought from across the sea.
Jason Red-Hood stood at the prow of his beached longship, Fenrir’s Fang, arms crossed over his broad chest as he oversaw his crew. At twenty-five winters, the young jarl already carried the respect of seasoned warriors. His fiery red hair was braided tightly with iron rings that glinted in the pale northern sunlight, and a thick, reddish beard framed his strong jaw and sharp green eyes.

The guy definitely shouldn't make him think of Steve. And Stevie would be appalled at the comparison. Hell, Stevie's not real thrilled about Hill sending Bucky to try and recruit the Red Hood in the first place, citing the man's penchant for shooting anyone who pisses him off, a duffle bag full of heads, and brutal fights with Batman over the last three years.
