Draco rubs his temples. Merlin’s arse! Astoria is so much better at telling this story. She always manages to make it light, and funny, and- and poignant. Draco only manages to make it sound pathetic. -

I wrote Enemies with Benefits at the end of summer 2025 after a ten-year hiatus from the fandom and from writing in general. Fast forward seven months, and I decided to edit the fic as I feel my writing has improved. The story has not changed. I’ve focused on SPaG and fixed one tiny plot hole. I hope that the story is a more enjoyable read for you.

I mean, he's single, his life is mostly work and he hasn't been out in ages and he's tired and annoyed most of the time, and he should probably be a bit more social, but the last time he kissed a girl he had to Obliviate her... but that's normal, right? And then Robards throws him a file, yells at him a bit and he finds himself guarding Malfoy of all people, and maybe that little feeling in his gut he thought he'd disproved as indigestion once and for all.... maybe was something else. Something lots gayer.

When Maggie opens a Yelp-page for Aziraphale's bookshop, nobody is prepared for a bunch of conspiracy theorists to find it. Unfortunately they do, and now they're trying to prove that the shop's owner must be a vampire, a hypnotist, or even something as outlandish as an angel. It probably doesn't help that Crowley keeps encouraging them...
But despite that, even the sane parts of the internet seem to be having a blast following the bookshop's history through war, fire, romance, temporary abandonment, two entire apocalypses, and a tooth-rottingly sweet happy ending – all through the lens of a couple of Yelp reviews.
The Second Coming is brewing– without Aziraphale. Not that Crowley has seen him since he walked out of the bookshop after their kiss. But at least there had been messages! (Crowley may have blocked every new account Aziraphale came up with, but that’s not the point!)
Crowley, adopted as a friend by the humans, has recruited half an unwilling army to save the world, consisting of Anathema, Newt, Nina, Maggie, Adam, The Them, Warlock and a Youtuber. There’s only one way to find out where Aziraphale has vanished to: Walk straight up to the entire Heavenly Host and steal the Book of Life.
