Julieta sighed, running a hand through her hair. Pepa had downed her coffee in one single gulp and went to get more.
In the dim lights, it really showed how much the triplets had aged since the last time they’d been together. The fact weighed heavily in the silent air.

Isabela likes being awake in the awkward time slot just between midnight and the crack of dawn, when for only a couple of hours Early Birds' and Night Owls' sleep schedules overlap. She slips out of bed and dances like she wants in her room, bare feet grazing the soft petals that make up the floor of her room. The sky opens up, and heaven reaches down to embrace her, and there was no one but her.
She did not expect another person to stumble in. Much less her mother, who was wringing her hands anxiously as they stared at each other, flabbergasted.
