Summary
Vox couldn’t breathe with the knowledge that Alastor didn’t want him, but he couldn’t die either. At least he could use that to his advantage.
Seven years ago, Vox removed the thorny rose garden that coiled around his heart in an attempt to separate himself from his feelings for Alastor.

Summary
“Poor thing~ Hurts, doesn’t it?”
Red filled his vision as Alastor dipped into his line of sight. The demon’s ears flicked and stood straight, his neck bent at an angle that was uncomfortable to even look at, all in the name of what Vincent had to assume was sick curiosity.
“Though, I suppose that was your goal, wasn’t it?”
Vox indulges in an old pass time. Alastor helps.

“How’d they compare?”
Apprehension seeped back into Alexis, his hands retreating by a few centimeters. He looked genuinely confused. “What…”
Michael smirked. “Those girls. The ones you killed.”

Summary
A moment of silence passed between them before Michael stood. “This undying devotion shit isn’t needed or wanted, Alexis.”
And it certainly wasn’t deserved, but convincing Alexis of that was, seemingly, impossible.
Kaiser hates himself so deeply that he's convinced even himself that he cannot love.

Summary
Cooking was cathartic. It was a science, sure, but one that encouraged creativity and forgave mistakes generously - graces Tabito didn’t come across often. He guarded it, of course, rarely letting anyone into the kitchen while he cooked. His grandmother passed away when he was a first year, and standing at the counter as the meal came together was the strongest tie he had to her memory. For a few moments, it was late summer, and he was a starry eyed child again, watching her deft hands as she showed him the proper way to slice a mushroom.
It was all far too vulnerable for his tastes. Embarrassing.
After (impulsively) moving in with Hiori, Karasu struggles to navigate the sudden shift in their relationship while also contending with life outside of Blue Lock.

Summary
“Let me get this straight.” Chigiri leaned forward, pointedly tapping the table between them. “You’ve been having weird dreams about a guy you had a single class with, and you think it’s because you saw a ghost in a construction site you broke into?”
“Well,” Yoichi mumbled, indignant. “What if he saw it too?”
“You wouldn’t know.” Chigiri was quick to bite back. “Because you haven’t talked to him in three months. Weirdo.”
Over the summer, Isagi and Niko encountered something they couldn't quite explain while working on a school film project together. As the school year wears on, they're both plagued by strange dreams that ultimately bring them together in an attempt to uncover the truth behind their paranormal experience.

Summary
The truth was, the difference between his Kaiser and the android in bed beside him was a line that was blurring more by the day. They were both brash, mean, [intense, perfect in every way]. It had something to do with the brain matter the doctors had frankensteined into a processing unit, but Michael even had to sleep. Not particularly soundly, granted, but Alexis welcomed that. The teen beside him shifted a lot, muttered occasionally, breathed deeply, and dug his cold feet into the side of Alexis’ leg. Just like his Kaiser.
And just like his Kaiser, the android in bed beside him believed with all his heart that he wasn’t a human deserving of anything good.
An accident that should have killed Kaiser opened the door for an unprecedented experiment in android technology. In an attempt to hang onto his only friend, Ness gives up on his creative writing major to become an android technician.

Summary
Ness was a veritable Prince Rupert’s Drop. He was great under pressure, able to shoulder the stresses that came with their budding football careers, but if something struck him in just the right spot, he’d shatter. Michael often wondered what that point would look like - destruction came naturally to him, and along with it came a sinister curiosity that he had trouble denying. Ness cried at even the simplest of inconveniences, so he was certain there would be tears, his usual anxious babbling, perhaps even an angry outburst -
What Michael didn’t expect, however, was blood.
Kaiser and Ness both have some bad habits, but when Ness starts disappearing after practice, Kaiser can't help but investigate.

Summary
It was Tuesday night when Karasu called to invite Yo to move in with him. It was Wednesday afternoon when he showed up to help him move. Yo played sick when his parents tried to take him into the city that morning - a slew of agents had reached out (to his parents, not him) wanting to represent him following his success in the Neo-Egoist League.
In passing, he had told Isagi that he was running away from home. Yo knew that wasn’t true - he couldn’t run away from home if Kyoto never felt like home to begin with.
Following the Neo-Egoist League, Hiori impulsively moves in with Karasu to get away from his parents despite having a lot of baggage to work through.

Summary
Michael felt guilty reminiscing about their days together in the dorms. Beside each pleasant, nostalgic memory was an equally poisonous one. He couldn't count the number of times he’d thought they’d reach their breaking point. Michael found kindling in the form of tiny transgressions and social pitfalls, and stoked raging fires with them. Countless times his rage burned Alexis - made him cry, broke him down, whittled away at his already suffering self esteem.
If it weren’t for all the times Alexis came crawling back to him, Michael was certain he would spend the rest of his life alone and miserable.
...
Alexis deserved better.
In the month leading up to their fifth anniversary, Alexis' family announces that they finally want to meet Michael. When Alexis appears less than thrilled about that idea, Michael can't help but assume the worst.

Summary
You don’t have many thorns, do you, Alexis?
No, if Michael was a rose bush, beautiful but thorny, Alexis was a bed of red clover, passive and inviting. Overlooked by most, forgotten in favor of brighter flowers with perfume scents that looked cute in a decorative vase on the counter; a cool patch of greenery off the beaten path where he could rest his head for a while. He could comb through the patch, picking at the clover leaves in search of a good luck charm, or anything of value really, until all that was left was the bare ground and wilted flowers.
He was never good at keeping plants, they always died in his care.
Michael Kaiser has spent the last twenty years as a vampire, and he's spent them alone. When a mage with fire in his veins falls into his path, Michael falls prey to his own desire to have something for himself.

Summary
Kaiser’s sparse, poison-laced compliments kindled a burning devotion from Alexis that, at times, threatened to engulf them both. Love, undeserved and overwhelming, poured from the teen’s very being, filling his lungs and suffocating him all at once. Alexis’ love felt like a noose, snug against his skin but never quite closing, never quite choking him.
With Alexis, Kaiser felt as though he could actually breathe, and he absolutely hated it. Breathing meant clarity, clarity meant fear, and fear meant despair.
Ness calls Kaiser out on his self harm habits while they're in a very compromising position.

Summary
“Are you jealous of Hiori?”
Tabito paused, turning the question over in his head a few times. It wasn’t like Yo had had it easy. His parents were a nightmarish combination of pride and blissful ignorance, far too comfortable resting the weight of their failures on Yo’s shoulders. The fact that he was able to enjoy the thing he was so gifted in now was a miracle, and the hypothetical role-reversal that plagued Tabito’s thoughts made his stomach churn.
“No.”
When did I stop bein’ so selfish?
Karasu Tabito begrudgingly discusses his feelings on the injury that ended his soccer career to a therapist he doesn't want to talk to.

Summary
Satoru didn’t think about people as often as he knew he should, Suguru always did that for him - for them. The realization that that arrangement had been so corrosive to his mental state was stark and nausea inducing. Suguru didn’t hate people - he hated sour foods and humid weather because it made his hair frizzy. He was fair, protective, and overall devoted to what was best for everyone, including the non-shamans that were the source of sorcerers' anguish.
The morning after Geto returns to the college with the twins, Gojo finally begins to notice the cracks forming between them.

His friends had all come within inches of death for his sake, who was he to break down now?
Two instances where the second year students have a sleepover. Two instances where Yuta and Maki help each other with their baggage.

"Die."
Static filled Yuta’s ears, the word vibrating through his bloodstream to the tips of his fingers. His chest ached, his body surely fighting off the urge to submit to the command as the word reverberated through the meeting hall.
He couldn’t help but wonder what it would have felt like to take its full force of Inumaki’s cursed speech.
Yuta pays the higher ups a visit following a quiet conversation with his best friend.

Summary
Satoru cocked his head to the side to meet his eyes. “You should take a bath.”
“I’m not really up for that.”
“Your hair’s gonna get all fucked up if you don’t, then I’ll have to listen to you complain about it. C’mon, I’ll wash it for you.”
Suguru eyed him with a level of (in his opinion, unnecessary) suspicion. “What’s the catch?”
Satoru feigned offense as he reached for the faucet. “Is it that unbelievable that I just wanna help you feel better?”
Two vignettes about the moments in which Geto and Gojo find each other beautiful.

Summary
He could have walked away without the blood on his hands (and shoes and shirt, god he was a fucking mess). He could have committed fully to the idea that, for a brief moment, felt like some twisted form of liberation.
“Was it selfish?” He finally responded.
Yaga’s brows furrowed. He considered the thought for a few moments, searching for his own words. “Do you think it was selfish?”
Suguru nodded, moving his eyes back to the hardwood between them. “I could have done so many things differently. No one had to die.”
But I wanted them to.

“I can’t believe he’s the one who almost got himself killed first.”
“Shoko…”
“I mean, c’mon. Blatant disregard for Yaga’s ground rules leading to extensive property damage and a near death experience? That has your name written all over it.”
“In his defense, the property damage happened before the blatant disregard for Yaga’s ground rules.”
Geto Suguru consumes curses to become stronger, but not all curses are created equal. Against his better judgement, he tests his ability to consume against a special grade curse during a routine mission.

Summary
“Don’t you ever get tired of being the shoulder to cry on?”
Suguru looked at him with an infuriatingly vague expression. The lack of answer buzzed in his ears, anxiety suddenly flowing directly from his brain to his mouth. “Back at the cult, I asked if you were okay, and you said it didn’t matter."
Following the events of "The Hidden Inventory", Satoru laments Suguru's willingness shoulder the emotional burdens of people in his life.
