Yet, she selfishly, selfishly wishes that sometimes she could have Airi all to herself. Just for a little bit.
Maybe then she’d listen – maybe then she’d believe the words that tumble out of Shizuku’s mouth every time she hears her put herself down. Maybe then she’d understand just how strongly Shizuku feels about this – about her.
For someone so dazzling – well, Shizuku thinks it’s a shame she’s so blinded by her own radiance that she can’t see it for herself.

For as long as she could remember, Mafuyu Asahina could see ghosts, probably. She couldn’t exactly talk to them, and upon further examination they couldn’t be fully identified… there wasn’t any way she’d be able to link what she saw back to records of the living without making some assumptions. Still, the way they acted seemed close enough to some ghost stories, so that’s how she preferred to think of them.

It was certainly an adjustment going from living alone in an apartment to a house of people. Fumi continually grappled with the fact that the entire living space was not, in fact, solely hers, and that she would occasionally bump into Hikari in the kitchen, staring blankly in the fridge looking for something to eat or Kaoruko already occupying the couch and watching some sort of reality TV show, or Akira curled up in the recliner with a book or Lalafin in the garage hammering away at the hanging punching bag.
It was an adjustment, but to Fumi’s surprise, not a terrible one.
