Summary
So, here's the thing. The Fire Nation royal family descended from dragons.
Not in the sense that one of them had scaly tendencies a few million years ago, but in the sense that a dragon saw humans, decided it liked them, and took on the appearance of a human, only to be stuck in that form as punishment from the spirits.
The dragon didn't take it too badly, as he married a princess, had children, and his firstborn rose to power and became Fire Lord.
Zuko, however, had some very good complains to do.
(Where Zuko descended from dragons and has needs, and Sokka is a man on a mission.)

Sokka imagines his friend Zuko, sitting on the throne.
Would he be bored? Would he be serious? Would he get mad?
He thinks of Zuko’s hair carefully swept back from his face, flame crest holding it up and out of his face. He thinks of Zuko’s bangs caressing the curve and gaunt of Zuko’s cheeks. He thinks of how his scar might catch the light and cast shadows on his narrowed eye.
He can’t help but imagine how Zuko’s fair skin would look in the fire’s glow framed by the collar of his official robes.OR
Sokka's wanted nothing more than to fuck Zuko for years.
