"I'm not lonely, James,” he said, pulling their steaks off the grill and plating them before carrying them over to the patio table. Which was filled with some of the other things he had made earlier. A caprese salad and some fruit skewers. Glasses of Elijah Craig already poured. Cooking was one of the things Alex enjoyed still.
"That's not what I said, bud,” James said taking his place at the table.
Alex just stared at his best friend as he too sat down and gave him a look that read as, that is exactly what you just said.
Sighing, James continued, "It's not healthy for a Dom, especially one of your level, to go as long as you have without a sub. It is in our nature to be paired. Bonded."

"Yeah. I am headed to dinner with James and Pato. Will be back shortly; you are still welcome though. You know which one it is?"
"Yes, I do. Thanks, Alex. I owe you."
When Alex made his way back to his bus after a good dinner with his partners, he was not shocked to find the grayish colored Ocelot curled up in a ball on his couch. Tired but still expressive gray-blue eyes glanced up at him.
"Go lie on my bed, Nikita. I'm going to shower and then I'll Shift and come join you. James is off with Buxton for a while, at some bar Will wanted to try and Pato won't be back until late either as he is with Christian and Lexi. I could use the company."

“Alex! What did you eat that is making you so sick, bud?" James asked curling up closer to his Omega on the slightly smaller section of their couch, James along the cushions on his side, Alex beside him on his back. Pato, Felix and Callum all sitting on the longer end. Playing MarioKart. Laughing and playfully shoving each other as they threw shells, banana peels and other accoutrements to win the game.
The Beta and Omega tried to play, but the motion on the screen not helping either of their nausea problems, so they just snuggled up together. Miserable."Nothing, James,” Alex groaned. “I've barely eaten anything the past few days. You know this because you have been on my ass to eat more. And what I have has all come back up! I have been blaming you. You're puking too!"
"At least Pato isn't vomiting. Which I don't understand. Anytime one of us is sick, we are all sick to a degree. You usually the worst of all of us, of course. But I'm just as bad and I have barely eaten anything either. And I am sorry for yelling, babe,” James soothed, kissing along Alex’s temple and tightening the arm across his middle.

"How does your neck not get sore when you are kissing Pato?" Christian asked Alex as they finished washing dishes from their shared lunch. The other man had cooked and Christian was supposed to clean but Alex really seemed to enjoy cleaning. He was not about to say no to the very handsome help beside him.
"What do you mean?"
"We did a photo shoot the other day and during lunch I saw McLaren shared it. Hold on."
Christian dried his hands from rinsing, grabbed his phone from the island and showed Alex McLaren's latest Insta post.
Laughing, Alex replied, "Easy. I just put him on one of the counters. Or a table. My lap works quite nicely."
"Or on his knees?
"That too," Alex said smirking, handing Christian the last saucepan before draining and cleaning out the sink. "You'd think you would understand, making out all day with Jamie."
He just looked at Alex, head tilted a little as he took the pan and rinsed it.
"You and I are the same height, Alex. My neck doesn't ever hurt kissing Jamie."
"Neither does mine. Just wanted you to picture having sex with him."

Laughter came back at him from the Canadian, “He being more of a bitch than usual? You knew full well what going into an exclusive relationship with Alexander Rossi meant.”
He did know that. Had been given what basically amounted to shovel talks from Marco, Conor, Dario, Pato and James when him and Alex decided to move in together almost a year ago, after close to the year before of dating.

If you asked the newly married couple which one of them wanted to carry their children, the young, playful, always smiling Mexican was quick to answer. He was going to do it. Would be more than happy to have inside him the beautiful babies that he and Alex would make. Because as Pato frequently said, him and Alex were gorgeous. They were going to have lovely children. So many of them. Just not yet. They had racing careers right now. Their offspring had to wait just a bit longer.
So of course, it didn't happen that way.

"You all ready?" James asked. When Pato nodded, he grabbed the luggage and replied, "Come quietly with me."
They both crept down the stairs and to the corner of the great room, their Snow Leopard indeed resting on the couch in his Felidae form. Tail in his mouth per his norm.
"Now wait for it."
After a moment, Pato looked at James like he was crazy.
"He's just sleeping. Extremely adorable. Always has been."
"Just keep waiting."
About another minute passed and all of a sudden Alex sneezed. Puffed his tail right out of his mouth. Then he looked down at his dropped tail, pitifully mewled, picked it back-up and closed his eyes again. James noted his breathing sounded a tad raspier than it had earlier.
"Now that is wonderfully endearing. But I didn't mean to get him sick."
