But Dongmin is stubborn, always has been. He lets out a quiet huff, trying to go back to his stupid phone call and stupid Myung Jaehyun on the other end of the line. He shifts like he wants to bring his legs up, but Donghyun catches the movement and pins his thighs down, keeping them spread apart.
Dongmin throws him a betrayed look. Donghyun just smiles, his thumb drawing circles into the soft, milky flesh.
“I– uh,” Dongmin’s trying to say, brows knitted together. Donghyun watches as Dongmin bites his lip, sparing him one more glance before looking away. “Hold on, hyung– my mom’s on the other line. Just– give me a minute to get rid of her.”
Dongmin moves, quickly pressing a button on the screen. The mute button, most likely. Donghyun merely raises a brow.
“Your mom?” he repeats, slightly incredulous.
“What the hell are you doing,” Dongmin hisses, low and breathless, and it sends a perverted little thrill down Donghyun’s spine.
“I think you know,” Donghyun replies easily, a slow grin spreading across his face. “Come on, Dongmin. If I can’t fuck you, at least let me suck your dick.”
(Dongmin’s stubborn, but so is Donghyun.)

“Long time, no see,” Taesan quips. Leehan’s pout only deepens, and he shifts the rifle on his shoulder. “You know, I’m pretty sure your aim was off. If I hadn’t moved, you would have blown my brains out.”
“Maybe I should have,” Leehan retorts, waspish.
Taesan never let himself imagine what their reunion would be like, but if he had, it wouldn’t have been anything like this. But the fact that they’re reunited at all has Taesan in high spirits, and so he only finds Leehan’s grumpiness endearing. He lets one hand wander to Leehan’s chest, playing idly with the zipper of his jacket. “Let me make it up to you,” he croons.

It’s a big galaxy out there, but somehow, Taesan and Leehan keep finding their way back to each other.

"Can you feel it like that?" Yoshiki asked. "My soul."
Hikaru hummed. "Somewhat. This body is a barrier though. On the other hand, if I do this-" Hikaru said, letting his index finger melt at the tip, as his true form came out, like a tendril.
Yoshiki held his breath, as the tendril snaked its way through the gap in his shirt between two buttons, and came in contact with his skin.
It felt like a lick, almost. Like a drop of cold drink spilled on his chest, except heavier.
It wasn't even that cold. But Yoshiki felt like it was sucking off his body heat.
But it was not unpleasant at all.
"Like this..." Hikaru went on, "I can feel it better. With my insides. And if I seep in through your body like this-"
Yoshiki felt the cold sensation sink deeper into his chest.
"Perfect...."

The realization hit Phil with no warning, a little before midnight, as he passed through the corridor and got a glimpse of Dan’s open suitcase next to the closet. It was funny, in a way — he’d been telling Dan to start packing for the past week, as he was prone to do, while Dan kept saying he was going to get to it, like he always did, a familiar enough argument whenever they had to leave anywhere, except this time, Phil wasn’t packing anything at all. Because Phil was staying home. Because Phil was going to stay at home, alone, for two months and a half.

In lieu of answering, he asks, “What’s your name?”
The girl scowls. “Maki.”
“Maki,” he repeats, and it’s like a missing piece of his soul falls back into place. The record of his life before he fought the Six-Eyes brat is a long, impossibly white scroll of nothing -- but written on it in faint letters is the name of a child, a child with a delicate name that brushed the heavens, spun a prayer into letters; a name that began with an M, and it ended in i, too.
“Maki,” he says again. “I think you’re my daughter.”

“Sorry, Yoshiki,” Hikaru groans as tears come out of one eye and more of him comes out of the other. “Ughh, I don’t – ”
Yoshiki can see how hard he’s trying to calm himself down, but it just isn’t working.
“It’s ok,” Yoshiki says, quiet. “It’s ok. Instead of shovin’ it back inside completely, can you try just...lettin’ it out? Just a little bit?”
He has no clue how any of this works, but maybe a half-measure is better than trying to force it all at once.
“Okay,” Hikaru says, but it sounds like a sob. More of the unknowable, incomprehensible swirl leaks out into the dark room.
“Yoshiki – shit – ‘m sorry but can I…” Hikaru’s face – what’s visible behind the bloom of him – twists in a small kind of agony. “Can I touch you? Not much. Just – ”
It's been years since Hikaru first took the body of Yoshiki's dead best friend. Despite everything - every horror and hurt - they managed to find a home in each other. Not quite friends or family. More and not. What they have is complicated, but precious.
But when Yoshiki escapes their small town – to college, to Tokyo – Hikaru follows. And things start to change for them both.
