“Why does it not–” Kaveh’s voice ripped out in a whine. “Have you not thought about it at all since then?”
A long pause. The longest one yet. “Who says I haven’t?”
Lightning flashed through the window, illuminating Al-Haitham’s face. Half of it was still wrapped in shadow, blocked by Kaveh’s head, but he could see the distance between them measured, laid flat by the light. The lightning went. The room went dark. But the memory of Al-Haitham’s wide eyes did not leave him.
What did he want?
“Have you?” asked Kaveh.
“Have you?” Al-Haitham’s voice was so quiet, buried under the murmur of the rain.
Kaveh swallowed. “I mean…I thought that was obvious.”

I'm not a fan of stranger things anymore but I loved this one in it's peak. A lot of how I write dialogue is based on this fic
One of the best fics I ever read. Tension flows so smoothly AND “sorry English isn’t my first language” Despite the dialogue being realistic and the perfect character analysis. Absolutely beautiful. Rivals some of the best fics I’ve ever read.

Summary
As Saps drives, Flux traces their route along the paper map. It stretches halfway across the dashboard, thin paper crinkling beneath his fingers. He traces out where they’ve been, where they’ve started, and where they might be going. This highway leads all the way to the coast, where the rest of the world crumbles into the ocean. Behind them is everything that has ever existed.
or, Flux runs away to see the ocean, he and Saps are soulmates, and only one of them knows how to swim.

Super long but amazing. It’s from the author of Riot! And it’s the one where they(Fluxarata) run away a year after Flux attempts suicide. Takes 2-3 hours to read but 100% worth it
