Rey had almost brought back Ben Solo, but lost him when Kylo Ren offered her his hand. But he's still in there somewhere, and she's determined to find him again. She just hopes they don't kill each other first.Chronicles their story (as it would've been nice to have seen it) as they go from enemies, to friends and more. VERY SLOW BURN. But when the fuse is lit, it burns HOT!!

New Year's Eve is a time to remember the good, forget about the bad, and celebrate our new beginnings.
When Rey Johnson said this to the brooding, handsome stranger in the bar, she had no idea what kind of new beginnings she would celebrate. She only planned to celebrate her move from Jakku to Coruscant and her new job. A one-night stand with "Kylo" was the perfect way to ring in the new year. If only they exchanged numbers or their real names.

There’s a nagging voice in the back of her head telling her to take Ben’s hand, outstretched towards her, the destruction of Snoke’s throne room glowing around them.
“Please,” He whispers, dark eyes pleading, his trembling outstretched fingertips a sort of peace offering - a promise.
“Take off your glove,” Rey commands, and there’s a flash of confusion in Ben’s eyes before he pulls his hand back and rips off the glove, just like he’d done that night through their Force bond. And Rey is looking at Ben Solo again.
She places her fingertips in his palm.

Rey takes Ben's hand when he offers it to her onboard the Finalizer. But a series of miscommunications and misunderstandings, hurt and betrayal, their plans for each other go awry. Summary
When Ben disappears on Exegol, Rey refuses to let him go. Instead she follows their bond to try and bring him back from the beyond, and the Force is helpful in the way the Force often is: it sends her back to the day they met. She didn't intend to wake up strapped into the interrogation chair on Starkiller Base, but if this is how she gets Ben Solo back, then this is how she gets Ben Solo back.
