Summary
“You must be Jiraiya’s replacement,” the stranger teased, sauntering closer. Iruka narrowed his eyes. The prim and proper clothes he was wearing didn’t match his laid-back posture or tone of speech.
“You’re late,” Iruka deadpanned, swinging his legs off of the empty stone windowsill he was perched upon. He stayed sitting there though, it gave him a good height advantage against this wolf.
“Oh really? I honestly didn’t notice, guess I was just busy,” he shrugged, slinging a canvas satchel off his shoulder and ungracefully dropping it on the ground. The bag didn’t match his fancy clothes either.
“It’s an hour until sunrise. I’m going to have to cut it incredibly close, because of you,” Iruka huffed, letting the annoyance seep into his tone slightly.
“So sorry about that.” He didn’t sound sorry at all.

Summary
After his parents' death, Iruka goes to live with his two uncles in a little town called Leafwood. Their house has nooks here, and little crannies there, a wonderful garden, and the oven in the kitchen is always preparing something tasty and warm. Life is far from perfect but Iruka is very loved, and when one day a boy called Tenzou appears in the forest behind their home, their family expands naturally.
There's just this very tiny fleck on Iruka's family history... a curse that destines the one Iruka falls in love with to die.
