After a rough start, Shane and Ilya are now in a happy relationship, surrounded by the support of their new teammates and family.
Even if he doesn't want to admit it (and he won't) Shane loves to do the silly boyfriend stuff Ilya says "every couple in love with each other" do. This include synchronizing their phones, Shane had no idea that it also includes his health app, so when his heat was about to start Ilya takes the notification popping in his phone as a very tempting sign of the obvious...
Shane wanted to carry Ilya's pups and he had let him know in a very subtle and Shane accurate way. As always, who was Ilya to say no to his omega?.
So when Ilya started to make indirect suggestions about their future family and Shane seemed to not pick the clues... Well, it left Ilya in a very weird mood.Or...
Shane doesn't know his phone synchronized his health app to Ilya's phone, and that it also started to send notifications about his heat periods and fertile days to his boyfriend, so when Ilya takes it as a sign he begins his plan to make it happen. Only to be left wondering why his omega (who absolutely want his pups) won't baby trap him.

Summary
There are so many fics where Shane is in heat and Ilya is helping him through it. Shane is begging and a lot of times Ilya is reveling in it, teasing Shane about giving him what he wants, what he needs, so desperately. And Ilya loves it, and if I'm not mistaken so does Shane.
Buttt I always thought to myself how does Ilya know the teasing is hot and the right thing, especially when Shane needs him so bad he's saying it hurts. So, imagining Ilya taking it too far.

"Hmm, I don't know if you have earned it, yet kotenok," and again Ilya's touch leaves Shane's body.
And abruptly Shane can't take it anymore. It just hurts hurts hurts: his heart, his stomach, his head. His arms collapse and his face is uncomfortably pressed into the pillow and he's just sobbing. He had chosen Ilya. He thought Ilya had chosen him, too, by being here, but all he's done is reject Shane. Suddenly Shane feels every inch the pathetic, needy omega he's always hated.
