'He sat curled up on the sofa, staring vacantly into the crackling fireplace with a discarded tablet sliding off of his lap. After therapy, the others had gone out to the diner two blocks down. Tony had scarpered before the questioning looks of ‘why are you still lingering’ could be thrown his way. In retrospect, he understood. He was a billionaire – their logical thought pattern would be to ask why he was hanging out with them, why he thought he could hang out with people he’d injured with his own two hands.
It would have been nice, but Tony didn’t like to feel like a waste of space even more than he already did.'AKA: that fic wherein Tony is his usual self-sacrificing self, Clint and Natasha move into the mansion and Tony gets a cat called Tabitha.

It's not jealousy. Adrian is adamant about that. They are actually insisting that it’s not any emotion at all. Not even dislike. They are simply completely uninterested in anything that concerns “the human”.
Rocky believes them. Adrian has always been the level-headed one out of the two of them. They are too logical to be jealous. They acknowledge that Grace and Rocky have a special bond after everything they went through together and also understand that none of that will ever pose a threat to their relationship.
Neither are they heartless or ungrateful. They know that Grace is the only reason that Rocky is back at all, the only reason their star has stopped dying. Adrian has told Rocky again and again that they are grateful and happy and wish the alien no ill will. They even helped with the construction of the biodome.
And yet they have no desire to get to know Grace.

“I’m fine,” he insists. “If anyone comes any closer I’m going to throw a hissy fit.”
“You’re already throwing a hissy fit,” Allura points out. “When normal people are injured, they just get treated.”
Lance sets his jaw. “I’m already treated.”
Keith scowls. “Well, obviously not, because you’re hurt. Dickhead.” He reaches forward and tugs on Lance’s jacket, clearly meaning to take it off to assess further damage, but Lance hisses at him, snapping his jaw.
“Are you a fucking scorned chihuahua?” Keith demands, snatching his hand back.
“Put your hands on me again and find out.”
