Itachi respected Shisui more than anyone. To him Shisui was an older brother that he looks up to, and a best friend. “What can we do to stop his scheming? I fear a civil war could break out if we do not interfere”. Shisui smiled at Itachi’s eagerness “Do not worry my friend, I have a plan in mind” he displays his Kotoamatsukami as he discloses his plan to Itachi.

Title changed from Itachi Uchiha- Saving Konoha to Itachi Uchiha- A New Path, as it is a more fitting title to where the story is going.
