Summary
Sirius figured after being killed in front of his godson and having to listen to his cries of agony that that would just be a sad end to his sad life and he can finally rest in peace and beg for James' forgiveness when he sees him again.
Waking up in his old bedroom right before he started his fifth year wasn't how he imagined the afterlife.
-
It was 1996. Sirius Black was an escaped criminal who was trapped until the end of his days, hating his life, hating what he has become, and never having the opportunity to be there for his godson.
He wakes up in 1975, panicking, confused, and somehow managing to time travel 20 years into the past.

[OFFICIAL SEQUEL TO 'my aching chartreuse heart']
Fire Spirit knows that life likes to throw curveballs at him. There are times when he welcomes them, like how he found himself befriending Wind Archer, the cute yet emotionally distant florist in town. In fact, there's a high chance they're on their way to becoming something more than friends, with Fire Spirit having confessed his feelings and Wind Archer having not completely shot him down.
But then there are the curveballs that he doesn't welcome, like when he visits a newly opened tea shop with Wind Archer, gets offered a job there on the spot, and accepts for some godforsaken reason. It's a ridiculous turn of events, but it's not one that he necessarily would have minded that much, if not for one thing:
The tea shop owner is Wind Archer's ex.
(Or, the one where the Eternal Flame himself begins his stint as a lowly tea shop barista, working alongside someone that seemingly everyone but him considers infallible. Soon enough, floodgates are opened, unleashing waves of self-doubt that he thought he had left in the past.)

Summary
The change was in the soft breeze, the smell of fresh, clean cotton, it was in the shift of weight from one hip to the other, in the glint of the hazy late-summer sunlight turning a light-brown half-curl auburn. It was in the involuntary curling of his own toes in his shoes.
Oh, he thought. Turns out I've missed you.
Five years ago, four boys stepped into their dorm at Gryffindor tower, all nervous, some hiding it better than others.
Five years later, there's nothing that makes Sirius Black nervous anymore.
Except. When he steps onto Platform 9 3⁄4, he realises that after summer, something about Remus Lupin is... different. And suddenly, Sirius has no clue what to do with his hands, how to sit right, or how he usually acts.
A coming of age, friends-to-lovers story set during the Marauders' sixth year at Hogwarts. Banter, friendship, crushes, pining and first loves. Canon timeline, hopeful ending.
