Summary
Abolish allowed the cup to rest against his knee when his phone began to ring, pausing his focused scanning of the passerby to fumble for the device in his pocket. However, just as he drew it from his pocket, someone rammed particularly aggressively into his knee, splashing still-hot coffee against his clothing. They stopped, perfectly shined shoes clicking to a halt and pivoting toward the man,
“Oh, sorry about that. Fancy meeting you here,” a familiar voice drawled, unhurried in a way that spoke of centuries of unrestricted life to come. Abolish’s heart dropped.
Or: Abolish has been dealing with Scott Golsmith for almost a century at this point. He really needs to toughen up.

“For a doctor you’re very slow to self diagnose,” they bit out, giving a final yank upright and sliding around into the doctor’s vision. “You need something to eat and to sit down.”
Green eyes were covered by fluttered lashes again as Cleo growled at him, Abolish just barely catching the movement before rummaging around through his bag. “I have some potatoes but that’s about it.”
The ghost of a sad smile passed over Legundo’s face. “I- ehhh that’s… not gonna help me much.”
Right. He should’ve figured. Vampire and all. Hmmm.
In the end it was Abolish’s ears that caught the smallest intake of air, snapping his head towards Legs just as the man giddily mumbled, “I think I’m gonna pass out.”

Summary
Losing a fledgling is hard on any vampire. Losing a sire is even worse, and having both happen at once is a nightmare, especially to a fledgling who is only a few months old. And to have it happen to Shelby, the sweetest of them all, is horrific.
Scott is so ancient, so out of touch with his emotions, that he can barely remember what it feels like to grieve, and he can hardly comprehend what Shelby is going through. Something is wrong, and he doesn't know how to fix it, how to bring her back.
All he remembers through the haze of his carefully walled off past is that something like this has happened before, and if he loses Shelby, well... the past massacres of Oakhurst will look like nothing at all.

Exploring crypts is a great way to find all kinds of things. Alchemical recipes, spells, bones, colds. However, this time he's found something new - a book meant for vampire abilities. He's curious, it's the first one he's managed to get his hands on that wasn't going to be burnt. It'll be perfect for Cleo or Apo, but first he wants to get a proper look at it.
This changes everything. He might not be a vampire, but he's not really fully human anymore either.
He should- he should probably figure that out.

What the title says! Extra scenes from Army Dreamers, written by me, Temerity, the beta reader and giver of bad ideas and snark! I love AD but sometimes I really wish more people than just Aria and I know what's going on with the other characters (doc is great but kinda oblivious sometimes (all the time)), so I write down the ideas I really like :D
All chapters have a summary of what's in them as it can be quite variable, and the timeframe that they take place in in AD

Instantaneously, Owen’s hold on his bat form snapped, and he suddenly shifted back to his human form, stumbling on the landing out of Legundo’s hand. “Whoa-” The man caught him before he could collapse onto the floor, and Owen clutched his stomach tightly.
There was a ringing in his ears that made everything sound muffled. “Are you alright?” He vaguely heard Legundo ask, his arms around him to help keep Owen upright. He immediately shook his head, though the action just made everything spin.
