There was magic in the world again. Darcy didn’t know how, or why, but when she woke up she could feel it. She sensed it stirring, rising in her heart and itching to come out of her fingertips, but Darcy didn’t trust it. She’d had this dream before. She knew that giving in would only make waking up that much harder. Oh, how she wanted to believe it, but the aching emptiness and phantom pain when she woke up was never worth believing that magic had come back, even in her dreams.
