“What was the question? Something about their quirk?”
Izuku’s shoulders dropped slightly.
“I asked them if someone without a quirk could become a hero.”
Stendhal-san snorted. Izuku’s shoulders nearly covered his ears. He knew, he heard it from All Might already, he didn’t need to have Stendhal-san repeat it, too-
“Obviously,” Stendhal-san said, leaning back on his arms. “Quirks are merely tools; plenty of heroes have perfect quirks and not an ounce of heroism in their blood. You’re already more of a hero than numbers 2 through 10, combined.”
Izuku could feel the tears slipping down his cheeks, sobbing at the words he had been yearning to hear for so long.
“Did they- did they not say that?” Stendhal-san asked, startled by Izuku’s reaction.

Summary
One morning, as Midoriya Izuku awoke, a poem popped into his mind. To his surprise, the poem's predictions came true within the day.
("Avoid 5th avenue this afternoon,
Or slip and fall, like a buffoon." - very helpful, in Izuku's opinion...)Midoriya is excited to get his quirk, but he's already been diagnosed quirkless. When he tells people that he can predict the future with poems, no one believes him. But as Izuku garners a reputation as a liar, he also prepares for his future as a hero, guided in the right direction by a strange new quirk that seems to have taken on a life of its own.

Shinsou burst into loud cackles, nearly falling off Midoriya's lap and the couch in general. "AHAHAHA━Whoa, shit, fuck!"
"You've been spending way too much time with Shinsou-chan, Midoriya-chan. His attitude is rubbing off on you, kero."
Midoriya and Shinsou watched Bakugou turn and walk out of the room, only further escalating Shinsou's laughter. "That was fucking awesome, Izu. Holy shit, I can't believe you just said that to his face."
"Honestly," Midoriya blinked. "Me neither."
izuku and hitoshi are childhood friends, but nobody knew how they met. it was a secret that both of them shared, kept close to themselves for only their adoptive families to know. all their friends and classmates knew was that the two had been close for a long time, nothing more.
