“What? Maybe he doesn’t know, you know, might think it’s professional admiration or something,” Pei Su argued, closing the tab on Xie Lian and moving over to his assignment instead.
“Checks out,” Tian Sheng agreed, and Banyue shook her head, looking away.

The rest of her outfit was just as merry, with gold lining the edges of her bright red dress. She was personified Christmas joy, skipping around the town square, wishing every stranger the most wonderful of holidays.
He was always there as well.
However, he was not Christmas joy. The mere idea that someone could think he enjoyed the holiday sent his stomach into nauseating tumbles. He was dressed in a long dark coat, a grey scarf wrapped around his neck and no gloves. Why, he was naturally cold. What good would the gloves do him? The closest feature he shared with this horrid season was his hair, light as golden tinsel. Do not be surprised to receive a well-deserved scowl if you say it to his face.
A deal. Twelve days. And far too much Christmas joy.

My take on a post Ballad fix it fic because Stephanie hurt my heart
Evangeline is lost after she woke up several weeks ago with no recollection of the most recent years of her life. All she knows is her childhood fairytale dream came true, and she has a dashing prince for a husband who seems to worship at her feet. Despite her seemingly fantastical reality, she can't stop trying to regain her memories, and can't figure out why Apollo doesn't seem to be helping her (spoiler it's because he sucks and he's a dumb stupid man who doesn't respect women's autonomy).
Meanwhile people from Evangeline's missing past keep showing up and she's beginning to suspect no one is being fully truthful with her, and no one seems to want to answer her questions about a certain enchanting, blonde haired, apple eating figure who keeps showing up in both her dreams and reality.
