Summary
Jazz had been prepared to die in a million gruesome ways and fight for his life in a million more when he agreed to do this. Jumping into the alien portal spitting out the giant death machines they'd been fighting for the last two decades wasn't really a great idea after all. But they were out of passive options, so he'd said all his goodbyes, made the government promise to put his death to good use if he didn't come back, and sent it.
Of all the things, ending up stranded in a desert and blindly following a group of sinfully rich alien pilots (because they definitely didn't speak any Earthen language) was not one he had planned for.
At least they also seemed to be dealing with the same giant evil alien problem as Earth.

Summary
Technoblade is a powerful man and part of that is from the chat's help. He barely mentions them and usually seems comfortable with them in most fics. If he cannot outright control them at times, he definitely knows how to bargain.
But there had to be a time before that. The growing pains if you will, before he really understood or agreed to it all.
Lets just say that fights used to be much more of a toss up for him in that period.

Jazz does a lot, sees a lot, knows a lot more than he'd like sometimes. Sometimes missions leave him knowing too much and too little all at once. When that happens he's glad he can count on having at least one secure spot to hide until the world makes sense again, hell, he even likes the company.
