Summary
Months after the whole continent of Australia has been connected to the chiral network, Sam receives an urgent call while on route to finish a delivery. A disruption in the tar currents has been detected, and he is asked to investigate. With an uneasy feeling, Sam accepts the request and soon finds himself face to face with an old enemy, who should very much not be alive. Unable to ignore this turn of events, the crew members of the DHV Magellan are forced to take Higgs Monaghan into custody.

This work is canon-compliant as far as the main story of both games is concerned and takes place after the events of DS2. Anything that happens from here on out is me sprinkling my own salt onto the story the way I interpret these characters. Enjoy.

2D had been terribly skeptical at first; terrified and expecting to die, might have been a better wording for it. But Murdoc had shown him there were ways to do it without going too far; without changing, without becoming ill, and most importantly, without dying. It wasn’t as if 2D didn’t find himself often making life threatening choices to begin with. And Murdoc gave him things he couldn't get his therapist or doctor to sign him off on.

Okay, so I went down on a little historical-research rabbit whole today regarding the ages and date of births of István and Erik, as I thought it'd help me greatly for my multi-chapter fiction.
I thought I’d share my findings with you. Please keep in mind that this involved a lot of estimation and guess work, so the overall numbers might be off, but I think this makes most sense.
I hope it'll be useful for writing fictions, though I'd also hope to highlight the very much problematic nature of their relationship with this.
