Summary
Azul has a web of lies and protection, all of it being for the sake of protecting Jade and Floyd's soulbond. The rules on the surface are different from the ones in the ocean; they would only be hurt if it got out. So he acts as their shield - pretends to be Jade's soulmate to protect them.
...Then Floyd gets bored.

Summary
Three third year students aren't happy about the contracts that the Octavinelle housewarden convinced them to sign so they put a spell on his broomstick before flight class. But before Azul can use the broom Floyd switches them and Jade ends up using it, this ends with the housewarden all but sacrificing himself to save his second in command. Now Azul is pretty injured from protecting Jade from the fall, and the twins are not happy about it.
Or
Azul almost dies trying to save one of the people he cares about and ends up in the infirmary.
