Summary
Lucien is defeated, Mollymauk gets a second chance and (gradually) his memories back. It's not easy to find yourself having missed so much. Being surrounded by the people who love you helps.
I'm bad at summaries, but basically, as much as I respect Tal's decisions about his characters, I think it would make for a more interesting story in terms of identity, love and all kinds of nuanced relationship beats if Kingsley didn't pop up. This is an attempt at it.

“Is there anything I can do?” asked Bob. Ava shook her head, her braid dragging across her shoulder. Bob shifted uncomfortably, glanced in the direction of the bandages. It was fine. He could just bleed out or whatever. “Okay. Sorry I interrupted; I’ll just go back to… the right floor.”
“Bob.” He stopped just short of pressing the elevator button. Bob took a deep breath and dropped his gaze to the floor when Ava said, “I can see you’re bleeding. It’s dripping off your pinky. You want to tell me what happened?”
Bob sneaks into the med bay late at night. There, he finds he's not the only one in pain.

Summary
He wasn't there at the start, is the thing. He wasn't there when they all banded together to get out of Valentina's vault, when Bob sacrificed himself for them, where their bond was forged. So it makes sense that Bob's different with him than with the rest of them. That he's subdued, reticent. Which, much to his own surprise, stings. He doesn't want to be on the outside, not this time.
(aka. Bucky and Bob get to know each other through a series of interactions and one memorable Valentina scheme)
