He perks up when he hears a hum beside him, straightening a little from how much he’s slouched while walking.
Shirakumo is looking up at the sky with a soft, kindled wonder in his bright blue eyes. “Can you feel the rain, Shouta?”
He just hums in affirmation, stuffing his gloved hands back into his pockets. Maybe if he keeps looking at Shirakumo, the feeling of the encroaching dark grey clouds trailing behind them will go away.
Or: The day Shirakumo dies, it has always rained.
