Summary
Was it wrong for Wei Ying to hijack the microphone before crossing the stage to graduate? Absolutely. But the speech he gave was romantic—up until the mic was cut off and the band played Pomp and Circumstance at fortissimo while Lan-laoshi chased Wei Ying across the stage.
"He's a disgrace, and I'm gonna wring his neck when I see him," Jiang Cheng seethes. "Fucking imbecile ingrate, son-of-a–"
"Jiang Cheng!" Nie Huaisang's fist hits the soft cushion. "I know you don't approve, but don't you dare talk about my friend like that!"
"Why the fuck are you defending him?!" Jiang Cheng yells, leaning towards Nie Huaisang who, for once in his life, refuses to cower. "I can tell how much he's hurt you."
Nie Huaisang deflates slightly. "Hurt…me?"
"Yeah! I know you have, like, a crush on him or whatever, but—"
"Excuse me?!" Nie Huaisang barks out a laugh. "You think I… Wow. Unbelievable."
Jiang Cheng crosses his arms again, looking almost…hurt. "You two just… You always hang out together."

This gives Lan Zhan pause. He glances over his left shoulder at Wei Ying. "Why would you want to do that?"
"Because it's fun!" Wei Ying cries. "Oh, if only we had a couple of other people here so we could have a chicken fight. But anyway, you've got two shoulders—and they're big and broad, and it's really rude for you to not let me have this one tiny little thing!"
"Alright, fine."
Lan Zhan bends his knees so that only the tops of his shoulders are above the water. Wei Ying wastes no time climbing aboard, swinging a leg around Lan Zhan's neck to reach the other side and driving Lan Zhan out of his fucking mind because Wei Ying's ass is on his shoulders. Although, admittedly, of all the fantasies Lan Zhan has had of touching Wei Ying's ass, it had never played out quite like this.

Nie Huaisang has attempted to pull some sneaky shit on Wei Ying when they've worked together in the past, but this is the icing on the fucking cake.

Nie Huaisang snaps his fingers, and an assistant appears with a suspicious looking stack of papers. "Actually," Nie Huaisang says, casually flipping to a page in the middle and pointing to the second paragraph. "You did."
"What the…?"
Wei Ying snatches the contract from his hands and is pissed to find that yes, it does indeed say, in fancy, air-tight legalese, that Wei Ying has no say in whether he is the one filling a hole or the hole itself. He checks one more time to confirm that it's his initials on the side and his signature on the final page, dated for today.
"You motherfucker."
"I'm more in the business of fucking your dad," Nie Huaisang airily replies, taking back the contract before Wei Ying can incinerate it. "Now go get your enema."
"My—! I fucking hate you." Script in hand and without another word, Wei Ying, who has served as the top in every gay pornographic film he has starred in thus far, stomps off to get his ass cleaned.

Taking his cue, Lan Zhan backs off completely, removing both hands and mouth from Wei Ying's body, which isn't exactly what he wants. Lan Zhan's face is neutral, and he waits for Wei Ying to explain himself.
"I wanna keep going," Wei Ying says, wanting to make that part crystal clear. "But I just… I kind of came here under the assumption that I would be topping."
Lan Zhan blinks very, very slowly. "I am a top."
"Well," Wei Ying says carefully. "So am I."
"You are not."
Wei Ying lets out a cry of indignation. "Am too!"
Lan Zhan gives a minute shake of his head. "You do not know it yet, but you are not a top."
"And how the fuck would you know my preference?!" Now, Wei Ying is getting genuinely angry. "I've never had gay sex with anyone, let alone you, so how can you—"
"Wei Ying."
"What?!"
Lan Zhan is giving Wei Ying the same look that an adult gives a child who thinks they can go swimming when it's freezing outside. "Let me try. If you do not like it, we will stop, and I will be the bottom."
Never bring a bottom to a top fight.
