It's not my dream job, but I can't lie and say working here gives no rewards. For one, I'm still alive. For two, I get free room and board. For three, Kirklund treats me better than my last boss ever did. But it's not like he has a choice. He doesn't trust Darling or Trench to know what I can do, and I'd rather not end up in a cage, thank you very much. That means I have to do as I'm told.
Today, Kirklund sent me to look for the Rangers who'd gone missing in Investigations. My only lead? A light switch cord that hadn't been there the night before.
