Summary
“Oh, shut up.”
“Make me!” Erin blurted, though he wasn't entirely sure what he expected that to entail.
Falst stiffened, muscles bound up in anticipation. His eyes narrowed, flicked across Erin’s face. Erin could see him thinking, like watching a lion calculate how much force with which to pounce. Before he could say or do anything, Falst’s hand darted forward, bunching up a fistful of Erin’s collar, and pulled him forward. Their lips crashed together with significant force, and Erin gasped into it, closing his eyes quickly and, for some reason, reciprocating.

Summary
"Hey," said Dainix. "I have an idea."
"Oh?"
"Kind of... a talking game? I've played it before to get to know friends and squadmates better. Basically, we'd take turns telling each other things that we want or would like. It can be anything, but if it's something the other person can grant, like, say, 'I want to keep holding your hand'--" Dainix squeezed Falst's again--"they can say yes or no based on if they want it too. So you can say 'sure', or if you don't feel like it, you can say 'no' or 'not right now'. And if you say 'sure', I'll keep holding it, and if you say 'no', I'll let go."
Falst stared down at their intertwined fingers. "Um. Sure."
Or: on a sleepless night in the soulshapers' monastery, Dainix has an idea to help him and Falst communicate more. Falst decides to play along and see where it leads.

Bookmarker's Notes
Very sweet, a little bit of steam, and great characterization
