Featuring:
- AU where the witches are active and malevolent
- Slow burn applies to both the ship and the redemption
- Memory segments of the Fount at the start of each chapter
- Smilk is still villainous before the redemption. Memory snippets of trauma come first while the villainy comes later
- Smilk has more chapters but as of ch22 draft nilla occupies 60% the total word count so are we really only smilk centric anymoreWorldbuilding infodump and rambling on twitter @liarssolace

Summary
History writes us in black and white, but the reality is often much greyer than we tend to think.
(AKA, I'm going to write all the widely accepted bad guys as not so bad guys and all the widely accepted good folk as not so good folk. I would say that I make them morally grey but it's leaning more towards making the bad guys stick their upper body into the good guys side instead of half half. Don't worry, I'm still gonna try my best to be grounded. Not going to do this as an individual chapter and then series it because I like to be disorganised. Any trigger warnings for chapters are gonna be in the notes at the beginning)

Summary
Main story: Liar's Solace
Cookies were created by witches. Lovingly mixed, baked and raised, cookies of different flavours are sent into the world to experience all that life has to offer. The witches distance themselves from direct contact with cookie kind, choosing to watch oner their creations from afar. Among them are the most notable High Witches, who spend their days feasting and playing an eternal game of monopoly. The High Witches baked a set of Virtues, each an otherworldly flavour, to guide civilisation and spread wisdom and love to all parts of Earthbread. Each Virtue has a crucial role to play, making it all the more devastating when they fell from grace due to their own corruption. And yet even among the Virtues, only one knows and records the Truth of this world.
Be not afraid, our faithful children.
For THEY are always watching.- Words:
