Ben was the type that shouted look, not catch. And he was right that Riley would get too in-his-head and miss the ‘bronze reliquary of whatever’ thrown at him. Right, but still, rude.

Sent away to train as a nurse, Mirabel encounters Bruno as a stranger at the hospital where they both work. A prequel scene to the series City of Angels, where the two of them become much too involved before the inevitable reveal.

I think everyone needs to hear someone say, “Nobody else will do. It has to be you,” sometime in their lives, even if it only happens once. Just once is enough. As long as you can feel sure those words were sincere, you can live through anything, no matter how painful.
Except Rocky isn’t the first person to say that to me, is he? Now that I think about it, I realize I’ve heard it before.
