John MacTavish was 8 years old the first time he woke up with a Message from his soulmate, though he didn’t know what it was at the time. He just woke to find a folded piece of paper, strong and coarse, like the kind you would use to paint watercolors so it wouldn’t tear, in his hand. It was a small strip and folded four times and the message read, “I wish he was dead. I wish my father would just fucking die already” in bold, easily read black print.

Summary
Roach is killed by Shepherd, a gunshot and fire crowding his lungs as he dies beside the man he loves. That should have been the end, but it wasn't. Instead, Roach finds himself reborn into a new life, with all of his memories from the first intact. Summary
Task Force 141 is small, three soldiers but ruthlessly efficient and skilled despite their short time together.
