In a world where Leudonium has only made the rich richer and and child labour prevails among the lower classes, what is a simple, poor mechanic ridiculed by his peers to do? Jumping of a bridge seems like the best possible option for everyone to Midoriya Izuku. Unfortunately, (in Izuku's opinion) an untimely intervention saves his life, as he is dragged into an ongoing investigation of a string of suicides, headed by his haggard saviour Aizawa Shouta.

On good days, he sees his promise to Olruggio as a second chance; a mercy given to him by whatever higher being there is in existence that permits him to live another day alongside the sky’s kindest, most radiant star.
On great days, he wishes that he had never made that cruel, cruel promise. Those days only end in despair; a tragedy he has relived countless times, a comfort he would never be able to relish within. Sometimes, during the aftermath of those days, when the sun has set and the embers of the night cast shadows into the darkest corners of his room, he allows himself to be honest. Wishes are made in secret, hoping that Olruggio would just let him go and allow him to break their promise.

Satoru snaps his gaze back up, eyes narrowing as he holds Suguru’s stare. “What, for being a good friend? Fine, I’ll wake you up the next time, then. Jerk.”
“That’s no way to talk to your husband,” Shoko lazily comments as she walks over to them, a thermometer in her hand. She’s watching Satoru like she finds something about him very amusing, and it sorta annoys him because he has no idea what the joke is.
Wait— husband?Satoru, 18, wakes up in the place of his 28 year old self. Learning that he's a teacher is bewildering enough, until— wait, what do you mean he's married to Suguru?

Summary
“We have a problem.” Satoru announces, slamming into Suguru’s studio two days later. He feels guilty. Like so so guilty.
“That so?” Suguru asks from his bed, lounging in a pair of sweats, his shirt hiked up. He scratches at his happy trail and glances over at Satoru. His demeanor changes instantly at whatever he sees on Satoru’s face. He swings his feet off his low bed, sitting up and leaning forward. “Satoru, what’s wrong?”
Satoru situates himself on the bed next to Suguru, crossing his legs and sitting so they’re facing each other. He meets Suguru’s eyes and cannot speak. Totally blank brain. Suguru touches his knee gently, probably about to say something helpful and kind like take your time or whatever you need.
For some reason, Satoru panics.
“I can’t come.” He announces, much louder than he needs to. “Unless I’m thinking about you.”

He thinks to himself: I cannot do this anymore. Tests the thought on his tongue without speaking it aloud. Thinks: I'd rather die than live like this, with everything I want at my fingertips and none of it allowed to me. In this of all places, he can be allowed honesty. So: Does he mean it?
Qifrey had never even considered taking on apprentices, at first. But navigating a life outside of the Great Hall forces him to consider what he wants to do with the time he has left.
