Daniel Molloy, recently turned and down a maker, needs someone to teach him the ropes of vampirism. Who better than Louis de Pointe du Lac, a vegetarian vampire with a guilt complex bigger than Saturn, to help him through these difficult times.
And, as if it couldn’t get any worse, enter Lestat de Lioncourt — who crosses an ocean after finding out Armand’s finally made his first fledgling. It was stupid to think he’d stay away. It was even stupider to think he wouldn’t want to get his French hands all over Armand’s things in an attempt to piss him off.

“It was murder, sure, but it was hardly a crime.” Daniel paused, an easy smile stretching across his remarkably unbothered face given the window just barely shuttered above him, daylight peeking around the edges. “I didn’t do it,” he added, “Not gonna lie, it’s actually pretty flattering that you think a three-year-old like me managed to kill someone who’d been around for two millennia.”
