Jaime’s first Christmas with the Lennox family isn’t…quite what she expected.
“Jaime!” Annabelle, whispered urgently with wide eyes. “I heard something on the roof!” What time was it?
“The roof?” she yawned, rubbing her face. “There’s no one on the — ” The sound of heavy footsteps crossed overhead, cutting her off. She and Annabelle stared at each other for a full three seconds before the other girl jumped to her feet and dashed out of the bedroom with Jaime on her heels.

“How’d you like to make them think someone was after them?” Ironhide glanced over at her with mild interest.
“Who?” Jaime allowed herself a small smile.
