“Oh hi!”
Haewon’s grip on the strap of the backpack tightened, head ran miles on all the questions that would be left unanswered because she was too dumbfounded to even speak.
This was her home, and this woman didn’t even seem familiar enough for her to know Haewon’s passcode. She couldn’t remember whether they had crossed paths before.
And certainly the blonde wasn’t one of her distant cousins or something because she looked way too…foreginer-like?
Why is there another person here with boxes that seemed like she had just moved here? At midnight, no less?

“Congratulations on debuting, Lily-ssi.”
Lily stares at her, jaw dropped open, until she realizes Haewon is desperately trying not to laugh at her. “Wha—!” She says, and watches Haewon burst into laughter. “That’s so mean!”
“Sorry,” Haewon says, though she doesn’t look sorry at all. “I guess you’re just stuck with me.”
“Ugh, I guess,” Lily says, pretending to roll her eyes, and Haewon laughs at her again, the low, deep, sincere laugh Lily has sometimes overheard when she’s joking with Yuna and the other trainees. Lily’s stomach performs several consecutive flips and cartwheels at the sound. The blue that drifts across then is lovely, a texture that pleasantly tickles Lily’s brain. She knows no one else’s laugh that does that to her— but then again, she knows no one else quite like Oh Haewon.

Summary
Lily hoped the song she composed could finally free her from the chains of loving Haewon in secret for eight years. Unfortunately, Haewon didn’t feel the same way. That love consumed them, yet they simply couldn’t break the bond that sometimes brought more pain than smiles. In the end, they are always inevitable to each other.
