That earns him a long stare, dead-eyed.
Then Izzy’s face spasms a little, settles on a wicked curve of a smile. He says, “What haven’t I?” and “Only what I must,” in a quiet, private little murmur. Then he breathes out sharp and says, “Everything in this world has consequence, Bonnet. Saving you- well.” A hard biscuit gets tossed at him. “Eat up.”

Maybe they’ve been at it for hours. Stede fancies that Izzy has enough perverse determination and sheer stubborn strength to keep on like that, and Ed, well. Ed loves to be edged, some sort of punishment-reward he both craves and fears, tears sticky-bright in his lashes by the end of it, pleas spilling from his mouth like pearls all knotted in a line, heavy and precious.
But Ed’s also incapable of staying this quiet for that long, so.

Summary
Drink is a bad choice, and Stede knows it. But the both of them are entirely too jagged at their edges to fit neatly together except in fits and starts that a moment later snag, rend. It hurts, so they pull away. Stede loses control of his longing and touches Ed’s wrist. Ed flinches; nearly knocks over his lonesome chair. His wary gaze in the candlelight is haunted, a punch to Stede’s gut. So he bites at his still busted lip so as to not say anything, to remain still and quiet, and retracts his hand.
This is what it’s been of late. A constant tension, an unhappy awkwardness, a wincing and sorry faltering. Ed with his fist, Stede with his words—they take turns hurting each other in little ways or obvious ones, and then they retreat; Stede is tired of the back and forth, though, desperate to push through.
So he takes another swig of rum and offers it to Ed.

Another sigh, a little more pointed this time.
Nicholas grins lazy at that fucked up moon, baring his teeth at memories and future fears. He has half a thought to reach for a smoke, an instinctive twitch in his shoulders. But he ignores it; stretches his body out as long as he can, testing the safety of their rooftop perch. It’s pretty stable here, a gentle incline and the tiles rough and gritty.
He says, “I could pull your tail.”
Vash groans. “Bad joke. Terrible!”

Summary
Yuuri wakes up in Victor’s room the night after the Sochi Grand Prix Final banquet. Did they sleep together? No. Instead, last night, Drunk Yuuri taunted Victor that he hadn’t earned the right to get in his pants…and spelled out exactly what Victor would have to do to get there.
Now, Victor intends to do everything on that list…

“The conversation,” Victor says, “went something like this. You said I wasn’t getting in your pants that easily.”
Victor says this in a normal tone of voice. Anyone could hear him. Yuuri looks around, but if anyone is paying attention, they’re pretending not to.
“Naturally, I asked what I would have to do to get in your pants.”
“Ah.” Yuuri blushes. “How embarrassing. What do you mean, naturally? Why would you ask that?”
Victor tilts his head. “Because I want to get in your pants. I thought that much was obvious by now.”

Laura wasn't answering her phone, but that didn't really surprise Derek since the whole reason he was even covering for her on her babysitting job was so she could have a night free of interruptions for her date. Well really it was so she wouldn't spill the beans to his boss about what he was really doing last saturday, but that wasn't important. What was important was the the guy he was babysitting had just hit his first heat and Derek had no idea what to do.
