Old Title: Trolls Headcanons and fanfic ideas (Potential Ficlets)
Just casually putting all my headcanons right now out in the open. Basically, just trying to give everything in the movies a rhyme and reason, as well as a potential timeline to make it make sense to me. Because I don’t have a canonical timeline or ages. Also because I wanna explore relationship dynamics and history later on. Maybe some different stuff too.
Most headcanons are based on the movies only, I have yet to get into both cartoon series. I will soon..
Might make ficlets later. I hope you enjoy my yapping sessions. I just love to brain rot over these little guys.

Summary
It all started out as a harmless game of truth and dare with her friends at school. Then Smidge proposes a bet that Poppy can’t refuse. To get the school’s well known loner to attend the Hair Ball Prom. However circumstances start to change as Poppy develops feelings for the grumpy grey troll. Poppy finds out the hard way that you shouldn’t play games with somebody’s heart. Someone is always going to end up getting hurt.

“I know what it’s like,” Branch started.
His voice was small and hesitant, unsure if there were any ears to hear. Maybe he looked like a fool, talking to himself. He didn’t care, he was no stranger to being an outcast. If there was even a small chance that John could hear him, he’d take it.
His voice gathered strength as he spoke. “I hid away for a long time, too. I was… scared. Of a lot of things. I didn’t want to need help. I was ashamed of who I was, of who I’d become.”
He reached out to hold one of the flowers, slightly shriveled and bent. Its tone of blue was hardly any brighter than his own as it died. He gave it a small, comforting smile, even though it wasn't really his brother.
I hurt them.
“I hurt people, too,” he admitted.It was a tale told by elders, carried from the tree. Forget-me-nots bloomed in the wake of a lost spirit, to guide their loved ones. Tethering the soul to the earth with each memory, it is said the blooms will brave even the harshest of conditions. Wherever the spirit weeps, flowers follow.
