Summary
The shadows around him loom large, creep up, and crawl to devour him. Whether or not he becomes choked by them, Anaxa’s chest constricts, horrid cold sweat dripping seemingly from his every pore. No amount of knowledge lifts this pain.
Typically, Anaxa waits these periods out in solitude. He knows these moments pass, and that the weight in his chest will lift. What he also knows, is that if anyone ever witnesses him in such a state, their impression of him will crumble. His credibility, the rationality he boasts freely, and his dignity as the sharp-witted, all-knowing and wise. These qualities simply do not, and cannot coincide with uncontrolled bouts of neuroticism.
Unfortunately for Anaxa, he has promised to meet with Phainon tonight. It strikes when he is preparing the guest bed for Phainon, a thorned tendril twisting at his chest.

Summary
Illuga knows he's hopelessly in love. What he can't figure out is how Flins actually feels about him. They never discuss the implications of what goes on between them in the bedroom, and he doesn't know why. But he doesn't want to be the one to break the silence and ruin the not-quite-relationship they have.
In the midst of this confusion, Illuga discovers he's pregnant and he knows he can't cope with such drastic changes in his life. He tries to deal with the issue himself and leave his feelings behind him, but that proves impossible when Flins offers to help him. Maybe there's still time to figure out what they mean to each other — if Illuga can survive the ordeal.A fic that's partly about terminating a pregnancy, but ended up being just as much about love and guilt.

Summary
In the winter of 1932, Nikita, a Marxism professor at Leningrad, adopts Illuga as his son and recruits his student Kyryll Flins as renter/co-parent. Both Flins and Illuga have their lives changed and sculpted by the young USSR, while they in turn shape it.
Friends are made along the way. Nazis are shot. Horrors are endured. Dreams are painted on the canvas called Europe with blood, sweat, and tears.
In less opaque terms: an AU of the Nod-Krai cast, set mostly in the Soviet Union. Timespan is estimated to cover most of the 20th century, with the main plot beginning in roughly 1932.

“I’ve designed many buildings in my career,” Kaveh begins, the attention of every single person in the crowd fixed on him. “Most of which have been extravagant pieces made to stand tall in our city and glitter.”
Kaveh glances down at what must be some notes on the podium, pausing before he looks back up, shining in the bright lights of the stage.
“But in recent years, I must admit that my focus has shifted.”
Alhaitham leans forward, watching, hoping for something he can't quite admit. Not when the truth is that he’s never known how to say that he is hungry without fear that people will see the truth that he is starving.

Ouch. The soft warmth. But ouch.
When I read this, my heart is full of love and warmth. Wonderfully calming. I just really really really love this fic, how gentle and genuine the love portrayed here is. So much. I also love the focus on Alhaitham, you don't often see his psyche being explored.
Chapter 4 is breathtakingly beautiful. I read this at 6am and it was so soft and so incredible, all of it.
I enjoy the talk about belonging (chapter 10)
Chapter 25 was heartbreaking but so incredibly warm. I love it.
